Hi there. I've been given one of these models already used. Is it supposed to not get warm at all? I'm not sure if it's working properly sometimes as it does dehydrate but takes up to double the time it recommends in recipes I find on the web. Just looking for a description of some signs of a regularly working ezidri Ultra since have no previous experience with dehydrators. Many thanks!
ANSWER: The inside of the food dryer should be warm, not hot but warm enough to dry the food.
You can use a kitchen thermometer to check the temperature.
The drying times given online or in the user manual are only an average. If the fruit is not ripe enough or bigger, the time can easily double or more.
