Prepare the fruit
First start by cutting the bottom and the top of the pineapple with a large knife.
Then cut the skin and be carefull to remove all the "black spots" or "eyes".
It is not necessary to remove the heart of the pineapple. It is eatable, but it is more fibrous and harder than the rest so some people prefer to remove it.
There are kitchenwares that can cut a pineapple easier but you will waste more fruit. p>
Then cut the pineapple into slices about 10mm.
Dry the fruit
Put all the slices on your trays and then let dry. Dried pineapple are good when you can see the fibers and of course when there is no more juice in the slices. p>

You can eat dried pineapple as a snack before or after sport, during a hike for instance.
The taste of dried pineapple will certainly please most children.
It is possible to rehydrate dried pineapples to use in cakes or a fruit salad.
